I know most kids get their hair cut at about 1, for Ben it was more like 6 months (the kid had a lot of hair) but that is another story. I have been putting off cutting Kendall's hair because she had the cutest curls on the bottom and I was afraid they would be gone if her hair was cut. I was right but as much as I will miss those curls I will not miss fighting with the knots and tangles she had every morning.
BEFORE:
I wish a had a better before picture. I used a flat iron so the length was obvious but the curls are gone.
AFTER:
two inches shorter
She was a little upset so I took her out for Ice Cream. She wanted pink so I got it dipped and all she did was eat the hard shell off and she was done.

he did it
he stayed in his own bed and we all got much better sleep due to it. Thanks Bud! The best reward I could imagine was Chuck E Cheese. He was bouncing off the wall in anticipation all day. Anything I asked him to do or help me with was followed with an 'ok mom, and then we will go to Chuck E Cheese's house?' I am glad he had so much fun because it made the outing worth it even if that place is total torture for parents. One funny thing that Ben did was when Chuck E Cheese came out to dance for the birthday parties Ben joined in and crashed the birthday photos. Now everyone who had a party tonight probably has a photo of Ben standing next to Chuck E Cheese.
I thought kids were suppose to be afraid of those overstuffed cartoons. Who knew?
My mom came with us but my dad was working swing.
Kendall is still a little young for this place there were only a handful of games she could play but that did not stop her from trying.
Ben spend most of the time on the driving game with his cousin Kaden. It was the same game that he spend 5 hours playing at Reggie's ranch. I love how close they have to sit in order to reach the peddles

Rainy days and Mondays....
...used to get me down. It started out snowing this morning and it turned to rain. I knew we would not be going out to play today. we have been enjoying the 'warmer' weather and going for walks but not today. I think sometimes staying inside to entertain themselves is good for them. They decided our activities for the day
A tea party with fancy dresses (Ben decided not to come)
waffles and chicken nuggets for lunch.
a short game of hide and go seek. Kendall only wanted to hide with me and always in the same place. Ben would only hide with his 'snuggie' crocodile that is too big to hide without having the tail or the head stick out from any hiding spot.
the rain is letting up so who knows we might go for a walk before Kendalls nap. then I might be able to get something done today not that this rainy day was not enjoyable
A little something extra for everyone Kendalls skirt will not stay on without her pullup

all attitude
My sister stopped by today and ended up staying for lunch. While the kids were playing in the front room we could hear some yelling. Not you typical "give it back yelling" it was a bit more bossy than that. Kendall in her best 'mom' voice and her best 'mom' pose was trying to boss all the kids around.
The best I could come up with without seeing what happend was that her tower of blocks got knocked over and she wanted them picked up.
I must put my hands on my hips a lot, I never thought I really did that.

Happy Birthday to my big boy!
always wanting to hold my hand
waking up with a smile on your face
being curious
loving trains and trucks or anything with a trailer for that matter.
never wanting to come inside
looking for an adventure everyday
loving snakes and dirt
being a typical boy but still having a big heart
loving your little sister
asking first, even if the answer will for sure be NO
helping with so many things
too scared for swimming lessons, yet fearless in a canoe
growing up too fast
so social you know no boundaries
being daddy's shadow
For the little boy who made me a mother and surprises me everyday with how much you know. my life would never be the same with out you and I would never want it to be any different now that you are here.
I love you Ben Happy Birthday!!
